The Nevada County Library has announced their Library Card Design Contest, open now through September 30. Whether you’re a budding artist, a graphic design enthusiast, or someone with a creative vision, this is your chance to leave a mark on your public library and celebrate the spirit and diversity of our vibrant community.

Libraries are for Everyone

The Nevada County Library is thrilled to announce a Library Card Design Contest, inviting community members of all ages to showcase their creativity and contribute to the design of new library cards. The goal of this year’s library card design contest is to celebrate local talent, promote literacy, and foster a sense of community pride. “Our community is filled with so many creative people” says Mandy Kelsey, branch manager at the Bear River Library. “It’s very exciting to have our library cards reflect that artistic energy!” Library staff can’t wait to see all the design submissions.

Contest Overview

The Library Card Design Contest is open to Nevada County residents of all ages and encourages participants to submit their original designs that reflect the theme: Libraries are for Everyone. Whether you’re a budding artist, a graphic design enthusiast, or someone with a creative vision, this is your chance to leave a mark on your public library and celebrate the spirit and diversity of our vibrant community. Library staff will also be participating and will ask library patrons to select a winning design!
