All eyes will be on Paulo Dybala when Roma meet Empoli at the Stadio Olimpico tonight. The Argentinean striker has rejected a massive offer from the Saudi Pro League, so he will remain at the club until the end of the season. The Stadio Olimpico will be sold out to watch Dybala and thank the Argentinean for his decision.

I expect a Champions League atmosphere in Rome tonight. This is the season home opener, revenge spot and the new around Dybala will provide sparks. Indeed, the Argentinian player has decided to remain in Roma. Although the offer from Saudi Arabia was lucrative and tempting, he made a 180 degrees decision this week. He doesn't want to leave his teammates and his wife doesn't want to live in Saudi Arabia. This should boost the spirit of the squad and fans. They made a 0-0 draw against Cagliari and they cannot afford to lose points to "winnable opponents". New signing Dobvyk hit the post and overall the team should have taken the 3 points.
Empoli managed to stay out of relegation due to a 2-1 win over Roma in the final round. They actually scored in the dying seconds of the match. It was a meaningless match for the Wolves but this will still push a revenge factor. H2H has been heavily leaning towards the hosts and I think they can easily concede at least a couple of goals tonight. Last season, Roma beat them by 7-0 at home. The squad remain unchanged as Empoli didn't really participate during the transfers window. In first round, they earned a point against Monza in a 0-0 draw. I am not sure the squad has enough offensive spark to be competitive this season. Plus, they have important injuries in defense.
I believe that Roma can win by 2-0 or 2-1 this match making our bet the safer option. I expect at least a goal in the first 45 minutes and a dynamic Roma that will search for the 3 points during the entire duration of the match.

Preview
Roma did not have their best performance in the first matchday of Serie A. The Giallorossi could not find a way to open up the Cagliari defense and were held goalless. With Daniele De Rossi taking over the bench, the Italian coach was rewarded with a three-year contract and several important additions to his team. Currently in twelfth place with just one point, a win this Sunday could catapult them up to fifth place.
Empoli also got off to the same start as their opponents on Sunday with a goalless draw against Monza. The Azzurri started their activity with the Coppa Italia where they faced Catanzaro and beat them 4-1; Colombo, Esposito and Fazzini with a brace were the scorers. The yellow-and-red team started leading after 13 minutes with goals by Bonini, but Roberto D'Aversa's team reacted and turned the match around with a big advantage. D'Anversa has the responsibility of keeping the Azzurri in Serie A for one more season to extend the club's three-year record. They currently have a long streak of failing to beat Roma in the Italian capital on 16 occasions; they have two draws and 14 defeats.
Conclusion
With Dybala staying in Rome and the home crowd's support, Roma is looking to secure a comfortable win against Empoli. While Empoli has its own ambitions, they face a challenging task against a determined Roma squad. It will be an exciting clash, and we expect a great performance from both teams. Stay tuned for the match updates and analysis.
