The legendary pop star and his wife Ayda have shared their heartbreak over a devastating update in their personal life. Robbie Williams and wife Ayda have been left heartbroken as their two dogs died on the same night.

Robbie Williams and Ayda Field have been left devastated over a double tragedy in their family following the death of both of their dogs on the same night.

The British pop star, 50, shared the sad news with his fans on social media Friday.

Robbie told fans that his dogs Poupette and Walle died together in their sleep.

TV star Ayda, 45, explained that Poupette had been with her for nearly two decades and said she was her “soulmate”.

Ayda shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, writing, “Today, our dogs Poupette & Walle left this planet to start an adventure in an infinite galaxy far, far away.”

She continued, “They died together in bed, listening to ‘Dancing Queen’, surrounded by tremendous love.

“For those of you who don’t know about Poupette and Walle, here’s some backstory …

“Poupette’s been with me 18 years. From the day we met, she was my soulmate. I was a single girl, and all of a sudden, with Poupette, I was a single mom (sic).

“Everyone that knows me, called Poupette ‘my shadow’ … because wherever I’d go, she was right behind me.

“It’s weird how you can share so much with a being that can’t communicate back in the same language.

“But, that’s the beauty of unconditional love … it needs no words.”

Ayda explained that Robbie took on Poupette as his own dog immediately and fell in love with her “instantly”.

“When I met Rob 6 months later, I told him Poupette and I were a package deal,” she continued.

“Rob, at the time, had 3 big dogs & I assumed he’d baulk at the idea of having to take a tiny, white, fluffy dog on the streets, shouting ‘Poupette’ with a Northern English accent.

“But, Rob immediately fell in love with her and all of a sudden, the big tattooed, popstar … became a small-fluffy-dog kinda guy.”

The couple then decided to add an additional pooch to their family with the introduction of Walle.

“When things got serious a year later, we decided to expand our family and get a dog together,” she shared.

“There was no doubt the day we met Walle, this was the boy for us.

“He cuddled us & kissed us and chased us all around.

“From that day forward, on 4th of July, we officially became a blended family.”

Their four-legged animals even played a big role in the couple’s wedding day, when they tied the knot in 2010.

“Two years later, when Rob and I decided to tie the knot, we knew exactly who we wanted for our bridal party … our dogs,” she continued.

“Poupette was, naturally, my maid of honor (sic) & Walle was Rob’s best man.

“Through the years, Poupette & Walle have been there for the birth of all 4 children, multiple tours, countries, & all the ups & downs that life has thrown our way the past 14 years since we said, ‘I do’.”

Ayda said Poupette and Walle were their last two surviving pets.

She added, “As time has gone on, we have had to say our sad goodbyes to each of those bridesmaids & groomsmen … Miraculously, Poupette & Walle have held on.

“Recently, Rob and I renewed our marriage vows. There’s a lot of things we’re facing now (more on that another time) and we wanted to celebrate what was good in our lives; family & love.

“Just as 14 years ago … Poupette was my maid of honor & Walle was Rob’s man.”

Ayda went on to say that this would be the first time that she would not have her “shadow or little fur bestie to greet her at the door”.

The star admitted she’d be taking the next few days to grieve and “cry”, adding she “loves them with all her heart”.

Her fans were left devastated for their loss.

One wrote, “They are together and have found peace. I will love them for the rest of time. Thank you Poupette and Walle for all the joy you have brought us over the years. I am so very grateful.”

A Heartfelt Farewell to Poupette and Walle

A second posted, “My heart is breaking for you all.”

A third commented, “Oh that is so sad, they will be truly missed! Sending you all the biggest hugs!”

Ayda Field Williams has revealed that her two dogs have passed away.

The 'Loose Women' star and wife to 'Angels' hitmaker Robbie Williams took to Instagram to share the sad news that her two dogs Poupette and Walle have passed away together.

She said on Instagram: “Today, our dogs Poupette + Walle left this planet to start an adventure in an infinite galaxy far, far away. They died together in bed, listening to ‘Dancing Queen’, surrounded by tremendous love.”

The 45-year-old also went on to explain the backstory behind her two pups and shared how they have both been a huge part of her relationship with her husband Robbie.

Poupette and Walle's Journey Through Life

She added: “Poupette’s been with me 18 years. From the day we met, she was my soulmate. I was a single girl, and all of a sudden, with Poupette, I was a ‘single mom’. Everyone that knows me, called Poupette ‘my shadow’…because wherever I’d go, she was right behind me. “When I met Rob 6 months later, I told him Poupette and I were a package deal. Rob, at the time, had 3 big dogs I assumed he’d balk at the idea of having to take a tiny, white, fluffy dog on the streets, shouting ‘Poupette’ with a Northern English accent. But, Rob immediately fell in love with her and all of a sudden, the big tattooed, popstar… became a small-fluffy-dog kinda guy.

A Blending of Families

Two years after adding Walle to the family, Poupette was Ayda’s maid of honour and Walle was Robbie’s best man at their wedding in 2010.

Robbie and Ayda Williams have tragically announced they their family were rocked by two deaths on the same night. The couple confirmed on social media that they have sadly lost two of their dogs on Thursday (Septemebr 5).

Ayda shared the upsetting news as she posted a string of images of their beloved pet pooches, Poupette and Walle. Alongside the photos she wrote: “Today, our dogs Poupette and Walle left this planet to start an adventure in an infinite galaxy far, far away.

“They died together in bed, listening to Dancing Queen, surrounded by tremendous love.” She continued: “For those of you who don't know about Poupette and Walle, here's some backstory... Poupette's been with me 18 years. From the day we met, she was my soulmate. I was a single girl, and all of a sudden, with Poupette, I was a 'single mom'.

“Everyone that knows me, called Poupette 'my shadow'... because wherever I'd go, she was right behind me. It's weird how you can share so much with a being that can't communicate back in the same language.”

Ayda went on to write that when she met Robbie six months later, she told him that she and Poupette were “a package deal.” She added: “Rob, at the time, had 3 big dogs and I assumed he'd balk at the idea of having to take a tiny, white, fluffy dog on the streets, shouting 'Poupette' with a Northern English accent.

“Poupette was, naturally, my maid of honour and Walle was Rob's best man,” Ayda continued. “Through the years, Poupette and Walle have been there for the birth of all 4 children, multiple tours, countries and all the ups and downs that life has thrown our way the past 14 years since we said 'I do’.”

She revealed that the dogs were also present when the couple recently renewed their vows. “There's lots of things we're facing now (more on that another time) and we wanted to celebrate what was good in our lives; family and love,” she said about the special day.

She ended her post by saying: “I think they were just holding on to make sure they showed up for ‘Mom’ & ‘Dad’ when we really needed them. Today marks the closing of 1 huge chapter.

“The sadness might be hard to comprehend for anyone who has never had a pet they loved. I suppose these words aren't for you. But for those of you who've had a fur bestie, a soulmate like Poupette or Walle, that you lost, I offer my teary hug.

“Hope it helps. Going to cry and take some time to process these next few days. The final members of the bridal party have left us, but if I know Poupette and Walle, they are going to throw one heck of an after-party.

“Poupette and Walle, You watched me grow from a girl to a woman, and supported me for all my adult life. I love you with all my heart. May you rest and play together, forever and tell me all about it when I see you again. Love, Me.”

The Lasting Legacy of Poupette and Walle

Last month, the couple - who have children Teddy, 11, Charlie, nine, Coco, five, and four-year-old Beau together - renewed their wedding vows and Poupette and Walle reprised their roles in the wedding party.

Amanda Holden, Kirsty Gallacher and Nicki Chapman and Amanda Holden were among the famous names sending their condolences to the Williams family following the heartbreaking news.

Robbie and Ayda shared their 2010 wedding day exclusively with HELLO! magazine.

They surprised their 60 guests, who thought they were attending a James Bond Casino Royale party in celebration of Robbie's 20 years in the business. Instead, they watched The X Factor star Ayda walk down the aisle in a striking Monique Lhuillier wedding dress with a netted silk taffeta skirt and a beaded corset.

“Ayda looked like the most beautiful girl in the world,” Robbie gushed. “The setting was so magical, and to be surrounded by family and close friends and then see Ayda appear looking so radiant was almost too much for me to take.

“When I walked down the aisle with our dogs and heard everyone cheering it made me so emotional I'm surprised I held it together. I'm the happiest man alive.”

A Wedding Like No Other

One easy way to ensure they kept their secret from friends and family was to give their dogs special roles.

Ayda said: “So our doggies are taking the bridesmaid roles! I was originally thinking little bow ties for them, but instead they're going to each have flower collars.”

The American actress' recent confession about her dogs acting as her bridal party for the second time is one of the few details we know about their vow renewal.

Robbie shocked fans by simply dropping the bombshell: “Oh, me and Ayda renewed our vows,” into one caption on Instagram. Next to a series of images showing himself drawn as a cartoon, the pop star

opened up about his hectic schedule before taking a positive outlook on recent events.

He wrote: “I feel confident, and I’m experiencing a new vitality that I’ve been missing. I got a new smile. I got a new pink jacket. I played in the pool. I ate some crap, and it was lovely crap. I wrote and recorded two new songs, one for the end titles of my film. I played basketball with Teddy, Charlie, and Beau. Oh, and me and Ayda renewed our vows.

“I am very, very, very grateful. I’m grateful right now. I’m not in the future, tired and stressed. I’m right here, right now, grateful. What are you grateful for? Write it. Feel it. If you can’t be arsed to write it, think it. Own it. Namaste FFS, Robert Williams.”
