Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London Gets a Boost with New Opening Acts

Taylor Swift is making sure that her London Eras Tour dates are full of “style.”

On Aug. 5, the pop megastar, 34, announced the addition of five opening acts during her August Eras Tour dates in London at Wembley Stadium.

“Just wanted to tell you about something coming up that I’ve been so excited about: we’re adding 5 incredible artists to our 5 Wembley shows, going on right before @paramore!!” Swift wrote on her Instagram Story.

She continued: “I asked them to play on this tour because I love their music and I think they’ll absolutely smash it in Wembley Stadium!! Go check out their music if you haven’t already. Gonna be a fun 5 nights!!!”

Swift’s openers will include Sofia Isella on Aug. 15, Holly Humberstone on Aug. 16, Suki Waterhouse on Aug. 17, Maisie Peters on Aug. 19 and Raye on Aug. 20. Paramore — who has been support for the 14-time Grammy winner on the Eras Tour — will also be tour openers during those dates.

Opening Acts React to the News

The “Cruel Summer” artist’s openers reacted to the news on social media.

“It feels like an honor to simply exist at the same time as @taylorswift, let alone be an opener for her on the biggest and best tour ever. A dream come true that I never want to wake up from. Playing at wembley stadium in my hometown!! See you august 17th at THE ERAS TOUR,” the “Blackout Drunk” singer, 32, wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The “London Is Lonely” artist, 24, commented in an Instagram Story the news was “the hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” while the “Psycho” performer, 24, wrote “secret is out” on her Instagram Story.

The “Hot Gum” performer, 19, shared an Instagram post expressing her gratitude for the opportunity.

“Taylor has invited me on The Eras Tour to open for her at Wembley Stadium. August 15.Someone I’ve never met has changed my life even more than she already has just through her writing alone. Your fearlessness in continuing to push yourself and win again and again is the most joyful thing to watch, Taylor. Thank you. Holy s---. @taylorswift #TSTheErasTour #LondonTSTheErasTour,” Isella captioned the post alongside the Eras Tour poster.

A New Opening Act for Every Night

Taylor Swift has something special planned for each of her upcoming London ‘Eras Tour’ concerts.

According to the 14-time Grammy winner, all five Wembley Stadium shows will feature a high-profile special guest in addition to opening act Paramore.

At the first Wembley gig on Thursday, Aug. 15, Swift and Paramore have tapped budding indie pop star Sofia Isella to kick off the festivities.

After that, British alt/indie singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone will take over opening duties on Friday, Aug. 16.

Third up, Swift’s longtime friend Suki Waterhouse — who you may also recognize from “Daisy Jones & The Six” or “Detective Pikachu” — is slated to start things up on Saturday, Aug. 17.

In the penultimate show on Monday, Aug. 19, the baton will be passed to pop icon Maisie Peters who recently wrapped a tour of her own earlier this year.

Finally, recent show-stopping “SNL” musical guest Raye serves as Swift’s last Wembley opening act on Tuesday, Aug. 20; this show will be Taylor’s final overseas concert before returning to the U.S. in October.

“I asked them to play on this tour because I love their music and I think they’ll absolutely smash it in Wembley Stadium,” Swift shared in her Instagram story, about the five opening acts listed above. “Go check out their music if you haven’t already. Gonna be a fun 5 nights.”

In any event, for a closer look at what to expect, here’s what Tay Tay played at her final Paris concert at La Defense Arena on May 12, according to Set List FM:

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Just a few of the most exciting stories we’ve published include a chat with a Swiftie who shared some helpful tips about seeing Taylor live, a report on dropping ticket prices, and a list of all the most exciting fan trends.

Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synthy “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you’re one of the few people on the planet who hasn’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department” here.

Beyond the Eras Tour

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable — likely stateside — concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

• Olivia Rodrigo

• Kacey Musgraves

• Sabrina Carpenter

• Gracie Abrams

• Billie Eilish
