A 36-year-old Thai man who admitted to having only a Grade 9 education has been arrested for performing penis enlargement procedures for 20 years without a medical license.

Kittikorn Songsri, a 36-year-old man from the city of Samut Sakhon, in Central Thailand, was arrested last week following a sting operation at a townhouse where he had been conducting various penis enlargement procedures over the last two decades. Songsri admitted to advertising his services via social media and operating on at least two or three patients every month, despite having no medical training or license. He told police that he had taught himself how to do implants when he was 14, and he had been doing it ever since. Unfortunately, he was reported to the authorities by a disgruntled patient who suffered a serious infection following a silicone infection.

How Police Caught the Unlicensed Surgeon

Police working with officials from the Department of Health Service Support arranged for an undercover agent to contact the unlicensed doctor and pose as a prospective client. When he was invited to Songsri’s townhouse for the procedure, a team of officers raided the place and arrested the fake doctor. He admitted to only completing Mathayom Suksa 3 (Grade 9), adding that he had taught himself how to conduct the delicate procedures when he was a teenager.

The Fake Doctor's Admissions

During questioning, Kittikorn Songsri told investigators that he had provided the services for the last 20 years and that he was currently charging between 5,000 baht ($150)and 20,000 baht ($600) per procedure. He has been charged with running an unauthorized medical clinic and providing medical services without a license.

Patient Reports Serious Infection

Kittikorn Songsri is also facing legal action from the client whose silicone implant he botched causing a serious infection and erectile dysfunction that persisted even after treatment. Still, it’s downright astonishing that this self-taught “doctor” could practice such delicate procedures for two decades without anyone reporting him before this latest malpraxis.

The Dangers of Unlicensed Medical Procedures

This case highlights the dangers of seeking medical procedures from unlicensed individuals. Even seemingly simple procedures like penis enlargement can lead to serious complications, including infections, erectile dysfunction, and permanent disfigurement. It is important to always seek treatment from a qualified medical professional who is licensed and insured.

The Consequences of Songsri's Actions

The arrest of Kittikorn Songsri sends a clear message that the authorities are cracking down on unlicensed medical practitioners. This case is a stark reminder that it is important to do your research and choose a qualified medical professional for any procedures. The consequences of choosing an unlicensed provider can be severe and life-altering.

A Call to Action

This case should also serve as a call to action for patients who have suffered complications from unlicensed medical procedures. If you have been a victim of medical malpractice, it is important to seek legal advice and report the incident to the appropriate authorities. By speaking out and holding these individuals accountable, we can help protect others from harm.
