Next year is already shaping up to be a good year for gigs, with a number of Irish and international acts announcing shows around the country. Now that most of the Oasis hype has died down, it’s time to either add to your calendar of events with these gigs, or nurse the pain of not getting tickets for the Gallagher brothers’ reunion with these newly-announced shows.

The Script have announced their first and only show in Ireland in 2025, with a summer gig planned for Limerick. The Irish band are set to play Thomond Park on July 12, 2025, as part of their Satellites World Tour. Danny O'Donoghue, Glen Power, Benjamin Sargent and Ben Weaver will be joined by very special guest, English singer-songwriter James Bay.

Tickets for The Script’s exclusive Irish show go on sale this Saturday at 10am and will start at €59.85. The announcement coincides with another massive gig announcement for next summer, as Justin Timberlake has today shared the news of his own Irish date. He will play Malahide Castle on June 28, a whole twelve years since his last gig in Dublin. Fans can expect all of Timberlake’s massive hits such as SexyBack, Cry Me A River, Bye, Bye, Bye and Mirrors, as well as plenty of body popping. Tickets for the gig go on sale at 9am on Friday.

Also confirmed for Malahide Castle next summer are heavy metal legends Iron Maiden. The band will bring their Run For Your Lives World Tour to the outdoor venue with special guests Halestorm and The Raven Age. Tickets will be priced between €83.75 and €88.75 including booking fees and will go on sale at 12pm on Friday, September 27.

Alongside Oasis, another Mancunian will make a return to Ireland next year, as David Gray brings his Past & Present Tour to Dublin’s 3Arena. Gray will perform his well-known hits, as well as songs from his new album, Dear Life. Tickets for Gray’s April 6 show at the venue have sold out, but tickets for a second show on May 2 go on sale this Wednesday for anyone that missed out.

The Script at the Eden Project

The Eden Project has made its first announcement for next year’s Eden Sessions as The Script are confirmed for Wednesday, June 25, 2025. They will be joined by Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Walker as their special guest. With their seventh studio album, Satellites, released last month (August), The Script are gearing up for a landmark year and are poised to deliver an unforgettable night in front of the Eden Project Biomes. The show will mark their second performance at the iconic venue.

Formed in Dublin in 2006, The Script—fronted by Danny O’Donoghue, known for his role as a coach on the first two series of The Voice UK, and featuring drummer Glen Power—have become one of the most successful bands of their generation, with bassist Ben Sargeant and guitarist Ben Weaver joining them for live performances. With more than 10 billion streams, 12 million albums sold, and six UK Number One albums, their blend of emotive alt-pop and soaring anthems has earned them a dedicated, arena-filling, global following.

Recent years have also been marked by emotional highs and lows, with the tragic passing of their long-time guitarist and band co-founder Mark Sheehan in 2023 deeply impacting both the band and their fanbase. In his memory, the band has continued on, channelling their emotion into their music and live performances and creating a deeply personal yet defiant new era for The Script.

The band is well known for tracks such as The Man Who Can’t Be Moved (2008), a global hit from their self-titled debut album, and Hall of Fame (2012), featuring will.i.am, which topped charts worldwide. Both Ways, the lead single from their latest album, is a funky, upbeat fusion of hip-hop and pop influences and an indication of the band’s fresh musical approach.

Created in collaboration with top-tier producers like Steve Robson (Leona Lewis, Olly Murs, Take That) and Wayne Hector (Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Westlife), the album is both a tribute to Sheehan and a bold step forward for The Script. Platinum-selling Tom Walker has sold more than two million albums and surpassed three billion streams globally. He burst into the charts with huge hits Leave a Light On and Just You and I from his number one platinum debut album What a Time to Be Alive (2019). Since then, Tom has played sold-out shows around the world and even performed with Catherine, Princess of Wales (the Duchess of Cambridge at the time) as part of a Christmas special from Westminster Abbey in 2021.

Rita Broe, managing director of the Eden Sessions, said: “We’re delighted to welcome The Script back to the Eden Sessions stage. Their transformational journey as a band, particularly in recent challenging years, resonates with the spirit of the Eden Project. We’re thrilled that they’ll be joined by none other than the brilliant Tom Walker. This is guaranteed to be an unforgettable evening.” Tickets for The Script at the Eden Project on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, cost £56 plus a £7.30 booking fee and are available through www.edensessions.com. Tickets are now on sale to Inside Track pass-holders. The general ticket sale is at 3pm on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Last year’s epic Eden Sessions line-up saw Crowded House, Fatboy Slim, Suede and Manic Street Preachers, The National plus This Is The Kit, Rick Astley plus The Lightning Seeds, Tom Grennan and JLS play on the Eden Sessions stage. In September 2019 the Eden Project and global live events company AEG Presents announced a new partnership, Eden Sessions Ltd, to run the Eden Sessions. In September 2021 Volvo Car UK announced a new partnership as the Official Automotive Partner of the Eden Project and the Eden Sessions music concerts, a deal brokered by AEG Global Partnerships.
