Fan favorite, Scott Reeves is returning on-screen to General Hospital in the role of Steven Webber, 11 years after he left his role. As is in soap opera, the character was recently mentioned in story (which is always a clue they are not far behind) when his half sister, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), noted that Steven had been released from prison, where he had been serving time for the death of a patient, but that he would unlikely come back to Port Charles due to his tarnished relationship with his mother, Heather Webber (now Alley Mills, previously Robin Mattson).
According to TV Insider, Reeves will appear beginning on the upcoming October 24th episode. However, from his interview with the outlet, it appears Steven’s time in Port Charles will be limited as Reeves is already back in Tennessee where he lives with his wife, Melissa Reeves (Jennifer, Days of our Lives).
Those will recall, that Steven was arrested the day he was going to marry Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) back in 2013 and exited the soap opera. Scott said of reprising Steven Webber, “Steven did his time, he’s been out of prison for a few months now and has been living in Sedona, Arizona trying to start over and figure out what life is supposed to look like at this point. He lost his medical license, obviously, when he went to prison (for killing a comatose patient, who was a murderer, to save a child) but he felt justified in it.”

From all indications, Reeves will indeed share scenes with his on-screen mother now played by Alley Mills.”It was great to meet and work with Alley Mills. She is so hilarious and plays that role to the hilt,” he expressed. Steven will also see Elizabeth to which Reeves shared, “It was so great to see Becky again. That was like reuniting with family because Becky and I are close outside of GH. She really was like my younger sister.”

It appears that when wife Melissa Reeves was over at Days of our Lives filming new episodes, that Scott came out to Los Angeles to tape GH, adding, “She was going to work and I was going to work over at GH, which was our whole life for decades. It was like a time capsule and it felt like it did before we had kids.”
Scott says his latest GH experience left him wanting to play Steven again even more, “I told Frank (Valentini, EP, GH) ‘I forgot how much I loved it. I’ve been doing other things, but this was like putting on a really, really comfortable pair of jeans. It was so comforting to get to work with everybody again and fall back into the lives of those characters. I would be totally open to coming back because I think there’s so much potential with Steven. Anytime they want me back, I’m there.”’

The actor first appeared on daytime in the role of Jake on Days of our Lives in 1988. Later, Reeves joined The Young and the Restless as Ryan McNeil, a part he played from 1991-2001. He then joined General Hospital as Steven Lars Webber back in 2009 until 2013.
GH has recently boosted its male characters with the arrivals of Jonathan Jackson as Lucky, Van Hansis as Lucas, Rick Heart as Ric and now Scott Reeves as Steven.
So, are you looking forward to seeing Scott making a return as Steven Webber on GH? Comment below.

Another member of the General Hospital extended family has died. Now comes word from GH veteran, Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins) that Nicholas Pryor, who played his on-screen father Victor Collins passed away at the age of 89 on Monday, October 7th surrounded by his loving family.
Not only was Pryor known as Victor, but for so many film and TV roles including as the dad in 1983’s Risky Business to Tom Cruise, and one of the passengers in the comedy spoof, Airplane.
Taking to his Instagram, Lindstrom shared, “It is my solemn task to announce the passing of the great Nicholas Pryor. Nick was an Actor’s actor, and an exceptional friend. He passed on October 7, 2024, surrounded by loving family. Nick may be best known for his role as the father of Tom Cruise in Risky Business or as the same to Robert Downey Jr, in Less Than Zero. He shared the screen with the likes of Jack Nicholson, Kurt Russell, Ewan McGregor, too many to name really. He starred on Broadway and delivered terrific work in Film and TV for over 60 years.”

In a very personal moment, Jon wrote of his relationship with Nicholas, “But to me, he was my friend. One of the best I’ve ever had. He was a mentor, a sounding board, a trusted confidant, and even a father-figure beyond, yes, playing my own father on GH and Port Charles. And he was one of the funniest people you could hope to spend time with over a bottle of good wine and a great meal. I will miss him terribly, as will his beautiful wife Christina, his daughter Stacey, and his two grandchildren, Gus and Avril. R.I.P.”
Pryor first played Victor Collins on General Hospital in 1997 and then when Jon Lindstrom crossed-over to the GH spin-off, Port Charles, Pryor would also make appearances there from 1997-2003. In story, Victor was a former spy and when he was away frequently on a mission, we leaned a key back-story to twins, Ryan and Kevin.
Viewers found out that Victor’s wife. Melanie. sexually abused Ryan Chamberlain. One fateful night, Melanie mistook Kevin for Ryan. When Victor returned home, Kevin told him what had happened, and Victor took him away immediately, leaving Ryan behind. Ryan eventually became a serial killer, while Kevin has also struggled with mental illness and continued his work as a psychiatrist.

Since Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) departed General Hospital for his leading role in Netfix’s top streamer, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and FX’s Grotesquerie, the couple known as Sprina has, for all intent and purposes, just become a cherished memory.
In story, Spencer, in an attempt to save Trina from Esme (Avery Pohl) wound up getting a syringe full of who-knows-what and then going overboard a boat on the Seine River. His body, along with Esme’s, has not been found, but the two are presumed dead.
Meanwhile, Tabyana Ali, who plays Trina Robinson has had scenes now and then where she tries to move on with her life as she continues to process the grief over losing someone she loved so fiercely. As some GH viewers have noted, Trina hasn’t been that front and center in story as of late, either. During her second appearance on castmate’s Maurice Benard’s State of Mind You Tube Series, Benard asked the actress what is currently in store for Trina on-screen now that Chavez is gone from the show and confirmed Trina is kind of in limbo.
Photo: ABC
Ali responded, “I’m just kind of in the gray zone at the moment which, that’s fine. I think I’m just kind of observing everybody else’s trials and tribulations. Trina is I guess in the process of coming out of grieving.”
As to losing Spencer, Tabyana added, “It’s your soulmate who dies, you aren’t gonna get over that tomorrow. right? I think it’s just this whole time this has been a lot about Spencer and my (Trina) grieving and just figuring out what I’m going to do for the future, and what are my next steps and how am I going to be okay with that.”
Photo: ABC
Previously, Nicholas Chavez in an interview shared that if the role of Spencer needed to be recast, he would be OK with it, expressing, “Of course. I understand that the show has needs, and I would be fully supportive of that.”
So, is that the ticket for Trina? Should the show recast the role of Spencer and hope the 2.0 version of Sprina clicks? If not, should they bring someone new on the canvas for her? It seems like Gio (Giovanni Mazza), may or may not, be a romantic suitor at this point. What should the show do to spruce up Tabyana’s role, given her popularity?
