It’s been 30 years since Raine Maida and the rest of Our Lady Peace burst onto the scene with their multi-platinum-selling debut album Naveed. To celebrate the longevity, the band is heading out on a cross-Canada arena tour, including a Feb. 20 stop in Edmonton at Rogers Place. The tour, dubbed OLP30 kicks off in Calgary on Feb. 19, hitting cities large and small from B.C. to the Maritimes. Joining them on the potentially snowy trek are fellow ’90s alt-rock stalwarts Collective Soul, while Wintersleep and Ash Molloy will serve as openers on some of the eastern dates. Western Canadian support acts are expected to be announced soon.
To commemorate 30 years as a band, Our Lady Peace is also releasing OLP30 Vol. 1, which includes the new single Sound the Alarm. “We are beyond excited to bring you a show like we’ve never done before for the OLP30th anniversary tour! It’s going to be one badass celebration you don’t want to miss!” Maida said in a statement. Since the band’s inception, Our Lady Peace has released 10 albums, including the massive hits Clumsy and Gravity. The most recent OLP album was 2022’s Spiritual Machines II. The first of several presales starts on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. MT, while tickets for the general public go on sale Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
